We felt accepted in a church for the first time.

The early years of our marriage were quite challenging. There was not much happiness or peace in our relationship. Janice struggled with insecurities and loneliness, and the lack of communication between us only added to a marriage that was failing. Upon Morris receiving Christ as Savior we immediately started attending Glad Tidings. As an interracial couple we felt accepted in a church for the first time. We attended Church and Bible studies every time the church door was open. Through the solid Biblical teaching at Glad Tidings, we grew in our faith and closer to one another; and have built lasting relationships with other believers. Even though there are still challenges at times, Glad Tidings helps us understand the importance of having a personal relationship with Christ and trusting Him for the answer. We wouldn’t be where we are today spiritually without the influence of Glad Tidings Church. One of the things we love best about Glad Tidings today is the diversity of people that attend.

Why tell your story?

Our transformation story is the best tool we have to spread the Good News. It is personal, it is real, and it is the thing we know the most about our own experience with God.

Write

Write your story down.

Take some time to sit down, pray, and write out your personal testimony asking the Holy Spirit for help. Writing it down will help you organize your thoughts.

Clock

How long should it be?

Your story should be able to be told in 3 minutes or less. This may seem like a challenge but a good story should be engaging and concise. All of Jesus’s parables were this way and we would love to tell stories like Jesus.

Focus on three areas of your life:

  • 1

    Your life before Christ

  • 2

    How you met Christ

  • 3

The Difference Jesus has made in your life

  • Tell us your story and let us know if you'd like to share your story with the rest of the church. Someone from our staff will contact you.
